Where little hearts meet big truths

What it’s About

The nursery (2 months – 24 months) is the launching pad for nurturing the faith in the next generation. Our desire for our infants at South Lake Christian Church is that they would hear the truths of God at an early age. We pray that this would help start building their foundation of faith that will be built on throughout their life. Our volunteers show our infants and toddlers God’s love by providing a place of prayer where our children hear Bible truth statements, Bible stories, and begin memorizing scripture.

What to Expect

South Lake Christian Church utilizes a check in/check out system for safety and security. When you check your child in they will get a sticker with their name and a ticket. You will receive a matching ticket. Present your ticket when you are ready to pick up your child. Children cannot be released unless the ticket is presented. The pickup person must be 16 or older.

Sick Policy

A child or volunteer should be free of fever and symptoms for at least 24 hours and have ceased without the assistance of medications. If our nursery volunteers notice any symptoms of illness, they will immediately contact the parent to come pick up their child.

South Lake Christian Church requires a minimum of 1 volunteer per 3 infants (2 – 12 months) and 1 worker per 4 toddlers (12 – 24 months) to ensure safe supervision of all children. There must be at least one adult female volunteer in the nursery at all times. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to work in the nursery. Parents may help with their child if the need arises.

What to Bring

Please bring a diaper bag with diapers, wipes, and all necessary comfort items excluding food/drinks. No food is allowed in the nursery with the exception of bottles.
